Jeff didn't move to the Comox Valley for real estate. His wife grew up in Courtenay, and the family has been connected to the area for over twenty years. They returned for good in 2018. Before real estate, Jeff worked as a journalist and writer, covering topics ranging from politics and business to food systems and sustainable agriculture. Alongside that, he spent years doing grassroots non-profit work in the sustainable food and agriculture sector, both on the operational side and in advocacy. That background didn't leave when he changed careers. He writes about the local market the same way he wrote about everything else: with specific numbers, honest interpretation, and no interest in saying things that sound good but don't hold up.
